Keftedes greek meatballs

ingredients (serves 4)

for meatballs:

100g lamb mince

1 egg yoke

20g bread crumbs

1tsp onion powder

1tsp garlic powder

1/2tsp smoked paprika

1/2tsp origano

1 bunch of chopped curly parsley

for sauce:

100g tomato passata

2tbls olive oil

1tbls chilli flakes

1tbls chilli powder

1tbls smoked paprika

1tsp lime juice

1tsp sugar

serve with chopped parsley & flatbread


1. Start off by mixing all your ingredients for your meatballs together in a bowl with a good amount of salt, form small little balls and place on a baking tray. Bake them in the oven (at 180c) for around 10 minutes or until cooked through.

2. In a pan for your sauce heat up your oil with your chilli flakes to help bring out the flavours of the chilli this will take around 2 minutes

3. Add in your tomato passata with your sugar and the rest of your ingredients and season with salt bring to a boil then take off the heat

4. Searve you keftedes meatballs with sauce chopped parsley and flatbread on the side
